Heritage Week 2026 was again a very successful week with good numbers each day coming along to tour the Abbey of Donegal and learn of its history and its influence on Ireland’s development from the 1470’s to the rise of Irish nationalism in the 1800’s.
We were especially honoured by the visit of the Mayor of Donegal, Anna Gallagher https://www.facebook.com/p/Donegal-Town-Mayor-61575778439145/, who graciously agreed to help us in our efforts to promote the Abbey and its story.
